2017 Comprehensive Plan

October 4 briefing on 2017 Comprehensive Plan & Vashon-Maury Island CSA Subarea Plan

The King County Council's Transportation, Economy and Environment (TrEE) Committee will receive a briefing on the Executive's proposed 2017 Comprehensive Plan & Vashon-Maury Island Community Service Area (CSA) Subarea Plan on Wednesday, October 4. The committee meeting is scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m. in the Council Chambers on the 10th Floor of the King County Courthouse, at 516 3rd Ave, Seattle, WA. If you are not able to attend the meeting in person, it can be viewed live on KCTV cable channel 22 or online. Please note that the Council’s Committee of the Whole (COW) is meeting in Council Chambers immediately before the TrEE Committee meeting; so, the TrEE Committee meeting will start once the COW meeting concludes.

The proposed Plan is the only item on the October 4 TrEE Committee agenda. A briefing will be provided on proposed amendments to the transmitted version of the proposed Plan. Once finalized, copies of the Plan amendments and a written staff report for the briefing are expected to be posted to the Council's Comprehensive Plan website in advance of the meeting. A TrEE Committee vote on the proposed amendments is currently scheduled for October 17.

There will be an opportunity for public comment on the proposed Plan during the October 4 TrEE Committee meeting. In addition, public comments will also be taken at the October 17 TrEE Committee meeting, prior to the committee vote that is scheduled to occur that day. Online public comments are also welcome at any time, either by clicking on the “Submit online public testimony” button on the home page of the Council’s 2017 Comprehensive Plan website or by emailing CouncilCompPlan@kingcounty.gov.

More information about the Council's 2017 Comprehensive Plan update process can be found on the Council's website. If you have questions about the Council's process, please email CouncilCompPlan@kingcounty.gov.
