Summer is officially here in South King County. The Cities of Burien, Des Moines, Kent, Renton, Normandy Park, Tukwila and SeaTac offer a variety of fun events and activities for the entire family to enjoy including parades, concerts, farmers markets and much more!

Please use this newsletter as a guide to experience the many fun events our region has to offer this summer. I hope to see you at a local farmers market or community festival.

BURIEN

Farmers Market
Thursdays through October 22nd from 11:00am-6:00pm at Burien Town Square Park (480 SW 152nd Street).

Music in the Park
Thursdays through August 13th from 6:30-8:00pm at Lake Burien School Park (1620 SW 149th Street). On rainy evenings, please call (206) 988-3700 after 5:00pm to check for location change. Visit www.burienwa.gov/concerts for more details.

Theater in the Park

DES MOINES

Des Moines Waterfront Farmers Market
Saturdays through October from 10:00am-2:00pm and Wednesdays through August from 3:00-7:00pm at the Des Moines Marina. A senior and disabled shuttle service is available with 72-hour notice by contacting (206) 727-6262.

Music in the Park

Theater in the Park
August 1st at Des Moines Beach Park Meadow. Featuring Shakespeare's 'As You Like It.' Performance starts at 7:00pm.

Des Moines Waterland Festival

KENT

Kent Farmers Market
Saturdays through September from 9:00am-2:00pm at Town Square Plaza (2nd Avenue and Smith Street, next to the Kent Library).

Music in the Park

NORMANDY PARK

Celtic Fest
July 19th from 1:00pm-6:30pm at Marvista Park. Festival features live music and dance performances, food and vendors.

RENTON

Renton Farmers Market
