Project No.:  1129714
Project limits:  NE Stillwater Hill Road
Project type:  Road Reconstruction/Preservation
Thomas Bros. Map No.:  539C3

Project description

To reconstruct 1.59 miles of NE Stillwater Hill Road, from SR 203 to NE Big Rock Road in northeastern unincorporated King County, between the cities of Carnation and Duvall. This includes excavating and restoring the roadway sub-base, rebuilding the road, including the shoulders, with required drainage, overlay and striping.

Why is King County doing this project?

The combination of pavement and subsurface condition scores indicate that this roadway is in need of reconstruction. Located between the cities of Carnation and Duvall, NE Stillwater Hill Road is a Tier 2 road. It runs north to south, and connects with NE Big Rock Road on the north and SR 203 on the south. The project has received Surface Transportation Program (STP) funds allocated by the Federal Highway Administration to partially fund design and construction. This project aligns with the Strategic Plan for Road Services: Goal 3 – maintain and preserve the roadway network.
