King County Fair
The King County fair is back and runs from August 2-5 at the Enumclaw Expo Center!

Advance Tickets can be purchased at your local Quality Food Center (QFC) or at the gate.
I will help kick off the fair on August 2 and I look forward to taking part in the crucial “Critter Crowning” ceremony.

National Night Out
The "29th Annual National Night Out" (NNO), is scheduled for Tuesday, August 7, 2012. NNO is designed to: Strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships; Heighten crime and drug prevention awareness; Generate support for, and participation in, local anticrime programs; and send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.

On August 7th From 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM there will be a National Night Out community party at the Bellevue Crossroads Market Place ( in front of the old Circuit City) located on the eastside of Crossroad Mall, 800 block of 156 Avenue N.E. in Bellevue. There will be prizes for the kids, demonstrations by various public safety departments on ways to stay safe, entertainment, food, and lots of fun all designed around a crime prevention/reduction message. Covington
Join your neighbors for an evening of getting to know each other and showing support for law enforcement. If your neighborhood is planning an NNO event, please contact Police Chief Kevin Klason at (253) 480-2430 to sign-up to have police and/or City Councilmembers attend!
Unincorporated King County
King County Sheriff’s Deputies will be dropping by neighborhood NNO events in their work areas.
