January 11th is National Human Trafficking Awareness day in America. In response to a Motion I sponsored, King County is doing its part with the launch of a countywide campaign to raise awareness of the issue of human trafficking. This campaign will include ads on 200 Metro busses, public service announcements and better training of key County employees to better recognize and respond to these awful crimes.

This campaign is a way to reach out to victims and potential victims as well as the general public to better educate citizens on what human trafficking is. These ads begin running today and will be critical in pointing people to where they can find help. Please read more at the following link:
