National Night Out Aug. 6
It is that time of year again to celebrate National Night Out. This year is the 30th Annual National Night Out (NNO), it is scheduled for Tuesday, August 6, 2013. NNO now involves over 37 million people and 15,000 communities nationwide. NNO is designed to: Strengthen community spirit and partnerships with local policing agencies; Heighten crime and drug prevention awareness; Generate support for, and participation in, local anticrime programs; and send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods and communities are organized, working together and fighting back to protect their streets.

Bellevue
On August 6th From 12:00 PM to 6:30 PM there will be a National Night Out community party at the Bellevue Crossroads Market Place ( in front of the old Circuit City) located on the eastside of Crossroad Mall, 800 block of 156 Avenue N.E. in Bellevue. There will be prizes for the kids, demonstrations by various public safety departments on ways to stay safe, entertainment, food, and lots of fun all designed around a crime prevention/reduction message. Maple Hills Estates welcomes and invites neighbors to come celebrate the 30th Annual National Night Out (NNO) event on Aug. 6, 2013 at the Maple Hills Park from 5 to 7pm. The park is located at 15256 204th Avenue Southeast, East Renton Highlands, WA 98059. The events and festivities at this year’s event in Maple Hills will include representatives of the King County Sheriff’s Department, East Side Fire and Rescue, multiple local neighborhood block watch groups and a small business expo consisting of various local enterprises eager to participate and support the event. Free food and refreshments will be served, compliments of Cedar Grove Composting, Starbucks & Target Stores.
