The 152nd edition of the King County Fair is underway! The weather forecast for the weekend looks great, and there's always plenty to do, see and EAT-- the summer just isn't the same without a Fair scone!!.

I had the privilege of opening the Fair on Thursday morning with Enumclaw Mayor Liz Reynolds, selling the first ticket to Hadley Bottorff who was waiting in line to enter the fair that morning with her mother.

The King County Fair has been entertaining folks for 152 years and is the longest running county fair west of the Mississippi River. Come take part in a time-honored summer tradition for all ages. Enjoy the 4-H livestock shows and exhibits, live music, and attractions—and after you've finished your scone, don't forget the rest of the tasty fair food.

The fair is located at the King County Expo Center at 45224 284th Ave SE, Enumclaw, WA 98022. Parking is available on the grounds as well for $5. Ticket prices are $7.

Earlier this week, I was joined by County Executive Dow Constantine and Mayor Reynolds as the County presented the fair $50,000 in funding for the next two years to help support the operation of the fair. The $50,000 in funding is in addition to the $10,000 in funding for the fair that I helped to secure as part of the Council's adopted 2015-2016 Biennial Budget.

The Fair runs through this Sunday and we hope to see you at there! For more information and for hours of operation call (360) 615-5631 or visit www.enumclawkingcountyfair.com for more information.
