Meeting on housing affordability in King County

Please join me next Tuesday, January 30th, at 6:00 p.m. (program begins at 6:30 p.m.) at the New Holly Gathering Hall (7054 - 32nd Ave S., Seattle) for an opportunity for all residents of King County to engage with regional leaders over how to tackle housing affordability in King County.

We all know we are facing an affordability crisis. Last June, the Regional Affordable Housing Task Force began to meet to try to tackle this daunting issue at the regional level. As a member of this task force, I have been attending regular meetings to learn about potential solutions and find ways for the county and cities to partner together.

While all meetings of the Regional Affordable Housing Task Force are open to the public, the sole purpose of this meeting is to hear from the community. Hearing your perspective is critical for me to understand people’s lived experiences, and will help guide my efforts as we seek to make King County affordable for everyone.

I hope to see you there!

Sincerely,

Jeanne Kohl-Welles
