News from and about King County… from COVID-19 updates to community news affecting our daily lives.
Dear Friends:
We know that when it comes to COVID-19 in our region, South King County is the belly of the beast. Given these circumstances, I was pleased to join King County Executive Dow Constantine and Auburn Mayor Nancy Backus at the opening of the mass vaccination site in Auburn this week.
This is a good start but we need more vaccines from the federal government so we can open more vaccination sites in our region. As the effort to ramp up vaccine production increases, I am working hard to ensure that the new sites in Auburn and Kent will be the first of more options for our residents.
To make an appointment at one of the two South King County sites (Auburn and Kent), eligible individuals can call 1-800-525-0127 or go to www.covidvaccine.kingcounty.gov. Currently, due to limited supply, each site only has 500 spots per day. You can learn more about these sites at the links below.
